Senior Manager - Manufacturing Excellence (10-15 yrs)

We have career opportunity at Goa with top pharma company as Sr.Manager Manufacturing Excellence.

I. Operational Excellence Framework

- Develop and implement Operational Excellence strategies in accordance with company objectives.

- Create customized Operational Excellence models across Sterile manufacturing units at Goa.

II. Value stream mapping and process simplification.

- Mapping the value streams of production processes.


- Identify the non-value adding processes and plan to eliminate them systematically.

- Engage in brainstorming discussions with shop floor employees to identify the complexity in the process and design simpler solutions.

- Identify the bottleneck operations and work on Cycle time reduction

- Track monthly changeover time of machine/areas to maintain/ sustain as compared to industry benchmark.

III. Productivity Improvement

- Continuously improve the batch sizes to meet the business requirements and improved shop floor productivity.

- Monitor the yield of runner products to ensure yield above the baseline

- Perform rejection analysis and provide support to production team by identifying the source of rejection and providing alternatives to increase the yield of products

- Drive the Simplification projects for batch documents and log books to control human errors and improve focus on operations.

- Execute time and motion study, low cost automation and line balancing, to optimize the resources allocation in the processes.

- Keep track of OEE of all machines and area and ensure to minimize the major loss (Speed loss/ breakdown loss/ unplanned loss/ planned loss/ changeover loss).

IV. Monitor Operational Expenses, create cost awareness in team and to ensure overall cost reduction.

- Review monthly the operating expenses and compare expenses with historic data and continuously improve the operating cost.

- Identify the low-cost alternatives for all high value consumables without compromising on quality.

I. Conduct Kaizen implementation session for continue improvement

- Conduct idea generation and evaluation session frequently w.r.t. to quality/ cost/ productivity/ process/ safety etc.

- Gather the ideas generated from departments and sections and update status

- Identify and propose monthly the person with the best idea to be awarded as the performer of the month

- Conduct cross-functional brain-storming and problem solving session on root causes of variance

II. Operational Deviations Control

- Analyse the recurring deviations and guide production team to implement actions to control repeated operational failures and human errors.

III. Prepare and maintain Dashboard to track sustainability progress

- Prepare weekly updates of KPIs and share with unit head and Cluster Head

- Prepare monthly unit performance report to share with Unit head and Cluster Head

- Maintain accountable goal display board to keep functions in track for achieving their goals
