Senior Manager - Purchase - ( R.M & P.M ) - MNC FMCG Industry

Senior Manager - Purchase - Chemical Firm - Managing Raw Material Purchase of -- 1800 Crs

Responsibilities : For a Purchase Head the responsibilities will be : -

- To develop and execute the purchasing strategy

- To Negotiate and finalize contracts, monitoring the quality of service provided

- To build and maintain good relationships with new and existing suppliers

- To conduct research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value,delivery schedules and quality

- Forecast price trends and their impact on future activities

- Monitor the global trends of raw materials & input materials & strategize procurement plans

- Ensure suppliers are aware of business objectives

- Partner with various stakeholders to ensure clear requirements, documentation and smooth functioning

- Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements

- Reviewing and correcting critical parameters relating to purchases using relevant BI/BO dashboards.

- Train and supervise the work of team members

Critical Skills/Attributes:

Functional: The person must be skilled at:

- Handling purchase of above 1800 Cr.

- Managing material procurement for multiple locations (two & more)

- Should have in-depth knowledge of imports and dealing with oversees suppliers,conversant with import rules and regulations including licenses

- Interest in market dynamics along with business sense

Candidate Requirement :

BE/ ME in Chemical is a must

From any -- FMCG / Chemical / Petrochemical / Fertilizers / Process Industry

Able to manage a Large Team

Reporting to G.M.
