Sr. Manager - Sourcing (Ludhiana )

Reporting to - Head - Vendor Development & Sourcing

Job Purpose : Develop and Maintain supplier base at best cost, quality and standard lead time for plastics, stickers, packing items, paints, chemicals and Spares to ensure component supply as per requirements. Strategically planning of materials with reduced lead time at right quality and in most cost efficient way to drive business growth objectives & profitability.

Roles And Responsibilities :

1. Ensure direct material cost savings through sourcing from Ludhiana, other regions to enhance cost effectiveness and improve profitability.

2. Develop capacity enhancement for different business stream including Cycles, Spares to ensure growth plans realization through localization and indigenization

3. Develop dedicated vendors to improve productivity to drive efficiency across the supply chain through automation and continuous process development and improvement

4. Improve supplier rating (composite index indicator) by enabling consistency in quality and reduce market rejections in order to improve product performance and ensure superior customer experience

5. Manage sourcing costs through negotiations, localization, alternate source identification, controlling cost escalations and maintaining component price related MIS to finalize component price in an optimal manner and achieve cost saving targets

QUALIFICATIONS :

Techno commercial person. Engineering + MBA in material management. Logistics and Supply chain management

Negotiation skills, Capability to interact with people, Communication skills, Analytical skills, Having end-to-end understanding of business perspective .
