Senior Manager - Supply Chain - Carpet/Textile/Home Furnishing Industry (9-12 yrs)

Job Description:

- Lead & provide functional direction to all functions of SCM operations for effective management of Customer Order Management, Sourcing, Planning, Procurement & Vendor Management, Logistics, Plant Stores, Warehouse, Inventory, Distribution, Import-Export Management, and necessary Statutory Compliances.

- To do Material Planning and Shipment

- Develop a strategy that addresses Customer Requirements, Purchase & Procurement, distribution, transportation strategies, outsourcing and supply chain operations performance and ensure that this is linked to the Business Strategy and Requirements.

- To build a profile of all logistic costs, supply and demand data, for each business division based on fixed and variable operating costs, storage costs, service costs and inbound and outbound transportation costs and optimize the same.

- Manage and monitor all the vendors Shipping companies, carriers, CFAs, transporters, clearing agents and other government departments for ensuring zero bottlenecks in the supply chain including negotiating for best and competitive costs. Bench marking is critical to improvement.

- To train & develop the logistics team for smooth functioning of the logistic department and update the team with best in class operations.

- Process Improvement & Optimisation.

- Maintain operational efficiencies as per standards across procurement, stores, warehousing and dispatch.

- Doing cost benefit analysis of different options and models to take forward.

People Management and Development

- Visualize the work progression, existing and future capability requirements in the team and evolve new positions. Work in consultation with HRD to develop Job Descriptions for the new positions and get involved with their recruitment process

- Work in consultation with management and HRD to develop KRAs and KPIs for different team members and get involved with their responsibility allocation and review process.

- Contribute in training and work synchronization for various team members in IT, Web Design and Development, Sales, Branding and Marketing domains in alignment with broad organizational goals

Work Experience

- 10-15 years of experience. Most of the experience should have been in Supply Chain and Operations functions and roles
