Senior Manager - Supply Chain - National & International (6-12 yrs)

Position Overview :

- As a Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the supply chain process within an organization. Your primary goal will be to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of goods and services from suppliers to customers while optimizing costs, minimizing risks, and meeting customer demands. You will need to collaborate with various stakeholders, including suppliers, production teams, logistics providers, and internal departments, to develop and execute effective supply chain strategies

Key Responsibilities :

Strategy Development : Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization.

Inventory Management : Optimize inventory levels to balance supply and demand, ensuring adequate stock availability while minimizing carrying costs and obsolescence. Develop inventory forecasting models and implement inventory control measures.

Inventory Tracking and Accuracy : Maintain accurate inventory records, including quantities, locations, and stock status. Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile any discrepancies. Implement inventory tracking systems and use appropriate technology tools.

Warehouse Management : Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure efficient storage, handling, and retrieval of inventory items. Optimize warehouse layout and processes to maximize space utilization and minimize handling costs.

Logistics Coordination : Coordinate transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities to ensure efficient movement of goods.

- Collaborate with logistics partners to manage transportation costs, optimize routes, and monitor on-time delivery performance.

Process Improvement : Continuously assess and improve supply chain processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction. Implement best practices and leverage technology solutions to streamline operations.

Risk Management : Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate supply chain disruptions. Monitor market trends, geopolitical factors, and regulatory changes that may impact the supply chain.

Process Analysis and Improvement : Analyze existing processes across different functional areas to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. Utilize process mapping and analysis tools to document and evaluate workflows and identify opportunities for streamlining.

Continuous Improvement Initiatives : Develop and implement continuous improvement programs and initiatives, such as Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other process improvement methodologies. Engage cross-functional teams to drive improvement projects and ensure adherence to improvement methodologies.

Qualifications and Skills :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration, operations management, industrial engineering, or a related field with 6+ Years of experience

- Proven experience in process improvement, operational excellence, or related roles.

- Strong knowledge of process improvement methodologies, such as Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement frameworks.

- Experience in process analysis, process mapping, and process redesign.

- Proficiency in using process improvement tools and software.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify process improvement opportunities and drive data-based decision-making.

- Excellent project management skills to plan, execute, and monitor improvement initiatives.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders and facilitate workshops and meetings.

- Change management expertise to drive organizational change and overcome resistance.

- Familiarity with process automation and technology enablement.

- Knowledge of risk assessment and mitigation strategies.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

- Certification in Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.
