Senior Mechanical Engineer :

- NewAge Products is looking to recruit a Senior-Level Mechanical Engineer to join our team in the India Office. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager located Canada, the incumbent will need an eye for detail and be knowledgeable of a variety of manufacturing processes and materials.

Position Responsibilities :

- Create detailed 3D CAD models, drawings, and BOM's for manufacturing.

- Provide technical design assistance to Product Development Team.

- Perform FEA on mechanical structures and evaluate designs

- Initiate, document, and ensure compliance with engineering changes submitted to manufacturers.

- Initiate and manage new product testing activities.

- Create technical documentation for new product series.

- Perform Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DMFEA).

- Mentor and delegate tasks to other Engineers in India Office as required.

- Must be able to travel internationally 2-5 times a year for a duration of 1-2 weeks at a time.

Experience & Knowledge Required :

- Product or Mechanical Engineering degree with at least 8 years of professional work experience.

- Excellent knowledge of 3D CAD using SolidWorks.

- Experience with FEA software is a must.

- Strong understanding of materials and processes.

- Detail oriented, possessing strong analytical skills.

- Able to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.

- Critical thinker with proven problem solving abilities.

- Strong time management and prioritization skills - you will be required to manage several projects simultaneously.

- As a self-starter you will need effective communication skills, good interpersonal skills, meticulous and be thoroughly organized. Able to work accurately whilst under pressure.

- Experience working with overseas manufacturers is an asset.

- Experience with sheet metal products is an asset.
