Senior Process Engineer - Water-Steam Cycle Systems (Power Projects)

Job Description :

- 8- 10 years of experience in process or system engineering within the power generation, EPC, or energy sector, specializing in water-steam cycle systems.

- Demonstrated capability in preparing engineering documents, performing process calculations, and supporting multi-discipline projects.

- Proficiency in AutoCAD for process drawings (PFDs, P&IDs).

- Advanced working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).

- Familiarity with engineering simulation tools or sizing software (advantageous).

- Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer principles.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Engineering Design & Documentation

- Execute system engineering for water-steam cycle systems in thermal and combined-cycle power projects.

- Develop and maintain Design Basis Criteria Documents (DBCD) covering system design philosophy, performance parameters, and project-specific assumptions.

- Prepare and review Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) with attention to process safety and operability.

- Perform equipment sizing calculations for key process components such as heat exchangers, deaerators, condensers, pumps, and pressure vessels.

- Prepare detailed technical specifications and data sheets for process equipment and instrumentation.

2. Vendor & Client Coordination

- Coordinate with vendors and third-party suppliers for equipment selection, design validation, and technical compliance.

- Conduct technical bid evaluations, review vendor documents, and ensure alignment with project requirements.

- Participate in client meetings and technical discussions, addressing queries, obtaining design inputs, and securing design approvals.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, controls, and civil engineering teams for system integration and alignment of design interfaces.

- Support project management and procurement teams in defining technical deliverables and ensuring milestone adherence.

- Ensure documentation follows company standards and client specifications throughout the design and review process.

4.Quality, Safety & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and environmental regulations (ASME, API, IEC, etc.).

- Maintain the accuracy, consistency, and traceability of all engineering deliverables.

- Support internal and external design reviews, HAZOP studies, and project audits as required.
