Senior Program Manager - Automobile/Industrial Production (15-25 yrs)

Senior Program Manager

Education :

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Automobile or Industrial Production Engineering (Master's Degree is an advantage)

Experience :

- Around 15 years of work experience with exposure to mechanical engineering design & product development (CAD), engineering change management & application development in automotive Chassis domain.

Skill-set :

- Domain knowledge of automotive chassis systems (specially passenger vehicles)

- Working knowledge of product development & design tools and methods (PLM, CAD & PDM tools like Catia V5, UG, Team Centre etc.), ability to interpret simulation results (CAE)

- Proficiency in making project plans, tracking & reporting (like MS Office)

- Good people management skills (experience of handling 10+ member teams)

- Stakeholder management & supplier interaction skills

- Coordinate the activities of extended team in the area Chassis Design and Development.

- Good communication and presentation skills

- German language skill preferred

Job Expectations :

- Technical consulting for engineering activities, defining the scope of work, task distribution, stakeholder management & establishing working model with German counterparts

- Operational excellence, strategic planning & project handling from concept to delivery, plan & track onsite/offshore product development activities

- Contribute towards the whole development chain beginning from Conceptualization, Details Design and CAD data management.

- Customer orientation, manage interactions, delivery management (on time, within budget, with highest quality), discussions with cross-functional engineering teams, supplier interactions

- People management - Interviews & evaluation of suitability of resource for a project, goal setting & performance monitoring, appraisals & feedback, mentoring, salary revision process, attrition management, motivation for people development

- Gather training needs and ensure trainings are planned well in advance and executed

- Introduce tools for efficiency measurement and ensure high quality deliveries.

- Manage work load and work allocation within the team.

- Mentor team and ensure high team performance.

- Networking and further strengthening the relationship with various partners.

- Right below General Manager

- Strong experience in Chassis Systems

- His management skills + Technical skills + Communication Skills - Should be around 8.5- 9 on a scale of 10

- Especially because he will be progressing into a AVP/ GM role in terms of growth

- Should have dealt in complete Product development

- He should have worked on multiple products

- Should have experience in Passenger Cars (Can look for skills like - Vmodel (design, development))

- Should be involved in product detailing to execution (including recording it, presentation etc)

- Should be very good at Project handover

- He will be involved in technical consultation to designing the car(will be part of the team which decides which team can work on what scope of work designing, strategy planning, execution plan concept to delivery )

- 15-20 team - Senior people Direct Reportees

- Will be reporting into VP & GM

- Knowledge of German language is an added plus
