Senior Purchase Executive - Procurement (4-6 yrs)

Job Summary:

The Senior Purchase Executive will be responsible for end-to-end procurement of mechanical and electrical components such as gears, motors, castings, etc. The role involves vendor sourcing and evaluation, cost comparison, price negotiation, purchase planning, and ensuring timely material availability while driving cost reduction initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Source and procure mechanical and electrical components such as gears, motors, castings, and other engineering items from approved vendors.

- Prepare detailed cost break-ups and comparative statements for quotations received from different vendors.

- Actively participate in purchase price reduction and cost optimization initiatives.

- Identify and develop new vendors; evaluate vendor capabilities and finalize Rate Contracts (RC) in coordination with the GM - Operations.

- Ensure timely delivery of materials and proactively manage alternate sourcing in case of supply risks.

- Conduct regular vendor performance evaluations based on quality, delivery timelines, and cost parameters.

- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) to vendors in a timely manner.

- Coordinate closely with production and operations teams to ensure uninterrupted supply of materials.

- Strong knowledge of Purchase Management and Procurement Planning

- Expertise in Vendor Development and Vendor Management

- Cost analysis and negotiation skills

- Understanding of mechanical and electrical components

- Risk management and alternate sourcing ability
