Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers in both manual and automated testing efforts

- Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans for complex software projects

- Design, create, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
 
- Reviews of test automation scripts and test cases

- Identify and implement process improvements in the QA workflow

- Manage and prioritize testing activities across multiple projects

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- 5+ years of experience in software testing, including both manual and automated testing

- Proven experience in leading the QA teams
 
- Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, TestComplete)

- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript)

- Experience with API testing and tools like Postman, SoapUI

- Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner)

- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

- Strong communication and leadership abilities

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with cloud testing platforms (e.g., Sauce Labs, BrowserStack)

- Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr)
 
- Experience with version control systems like git
 
- ISTQB certification or equivalent

- Experience in mobile application testing

- ecommerce domain knowledge

- Shopify Knowledge

Responsibilities Specific to Lead Role:

- Develop and maintain testing standards and best practices for the organization

- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define quality goals and metrics
 
- Conduct regular team meetings and one-on-one sessions to ensure alignment and growth

- Participate in hiring and performance evaluations for QA team members

- Contribute to strategic decisions regarding testing tools and infrastructure
