Senior Role - Regulation Management - Motor Vehicle (10-15 yrs)
We are seeking an experienced professional in Regulation Management to ensure compliance with Indian & International motor vehicle regulations, with strong focus on Electric Vehicles and emerging mobility solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance & Standards:
- Monitor, analyze & interpret CMVR, AIS, IS, ECE, EEC, WP.29, IMMA and other automotive regulations to ensure product compliance.
Electric Vehicle Regulations:
- Provide expertise on EV-specific requirements including battery safety, performance standards & government policies.
Type Approval & COP:
- Support Indian & international Type Approval and Conformity of Production (COP) processes.
Liaison & Industry Representation:
- Represent the organization in SIAM, BIS/TED, AISC, CMVR-TSC, SCOE and other committees.
- Build strong relationships with ministries, regulatory authorities & testing agencies.
Policy Advocacy & Global Tracking:
- Track global regulatory developments and provide strategic inputs to internal stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with Engineering, R&D, Product Development & Certification teams to integrate regulatory requirements.
Continuous Learning:
- Stay updated on global safety standards, sustainability trends & mobility regulations.
Required Experience:
- Strong knowledge of CMVR, AIS, IS, ECE, EEC & international vehicle regulations
- Familiarity with EV regulations & battery safety norms
- Exposure to WP.29, IMMA & international regulatory frameworks
- Experience in vehicle testing / type approval (preferred)
- Strong connect with ministries & testing agencies
- Analytical mindset with strong interpretation skills
