Job Purpose-

The Senior Service Engineer - Commissioning is responsible for testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and final handover of Alarm & Monitoring Systems and Integrated Platform Management Systems (IPMS) at shipyards and customer locations worldwide. The role ensures systems are commissioned in accordance with project timelines and quality standards, while supporting documentation, training, and continuous improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities-

Commissioning & Handover-

- Execute commissioning and final handover of IPMS project sites within defined project timelines.

- Conduct Harbour Acceptance Tests (HAT) and Sea Trials in line with documented test procedures.

- Provide installation support and troubleshoot IPMS hardware and associated systems.

- Ensure adherence to quality, scope, time, and site expense guidelines.

Technical Support & Change Management-

- Identify and report site issues to the Engineering team and implement recommended solutions.

- Support integration and interface testing with third-party equipment.

- Manage change requests (Engineering Change Management) at site.

Coordination & Communication-

- Work closely with internal stakeholders including Operations, Engineering, HSE, and other functions.

- Coordinate with external stakeholders such as customers and third-party equipment suppliers.

- Provide daily and weekly progress reports to the Project Manager.

- Documentation & Knowledge Management-

- Support preparation and review of customer documentation.

- Document and share - Lessons Learnt- to improve commissioning processes.

- Ensure strict adherence to processes and suggest improvements where needed.

Training & Safety-

- Provide basic hands-on training to customers on operation and maintenance of IPMS when required.

- Ensure safe working practices and compliance with site safety regulations.
