Senior Simulations Engineer (3-5 yrs)

One of our esteemed clients is looking for an experienced, diligent, intelligent, and overachieving engineer with demonstrated experience.


- Main Objective is Maintain design documentation in according criteria


- Manage Continuous Engineering Activity for Existing Products; Improve the Design and Performance of Existing Products.

Roles & Responsibility :

1. Generating ideas for new products by researching and testing manufacturing and assembly processes and materials, as well as by examining client requirements and operator feedback.

2. Carry out simulation and analysis for thermal, mechanism, and other purposes to improve the design

3. Choosing the optimal thermal and structural performance for mechanical designs by sampling various materials and manufacturing techniques

4. Evaluate and resolve technical feasibility, design optimization, and production issues

5. Establish and document part/product specifications and test procedures

6. Provide technical expertise and assist in the industrialization activities for any product including manufacturability, tooling, assembly process design, product cost, workflow, quality & safety.

7. Develop and establish manufacturing/assembly processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components

8. Develop prototypes and complete functional testing. Fine Tune designs till they are ready for production

9. Work with other departments to execute design, technology, product development, and vendor strategy

10. Review, approve and / or modify product designs

11. Study, evaluate, and recommend process re-design

12. Assist in day-to-day process development to ensure product quality, timely product shipments, continuing cost effectiveness and profitability

13. Qualify and approve new products from new or existing vendors

14. Analysis & Rectification of errors related to product and its development like designing, quality, etc

Quality, Continuous Improvement & Documentation :

1. Ensure product testing, certification and compliance

2. Qualify and approve parts and products from new or existing vendors

3. Drive continuous improvement of processes, quality and cost through maintaining profitability and competitiveness

4. Assist in timely investigation of customer complaints and completing product & quality system audits

5. Maintain and update complete documentation of products and sourced parts as per requirements of ISO 9001 QMS and as per any such certifications.

6. Assuring the proper Maintenance of daily related records and documents as per company policy.

7. Ensure regular maintenance of all related details in respective software.

Management and Administrative :

1. Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.

2. Initiate and foster a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.

3. Train and mentor other engineers and supporting staff wherever required.

4. Assist in solving grievances and problems of internal and external customers in related matters.

Knowledge & experiance:

-CAD - Thermal Simulation & Mechanical Design ( experience on Solid Works Software preferred)

-Completed full development cycle for at least 4 major projects

-Knowledge and experience of Design Control and management as per ISO 9001 requirements

1. Hands on experience in full scale product development of at least 4 major thermal analysis projects

2. Expertise in thermal simulations and 3D modelling using Solidworks Professional

3. Design expertise in at least one of the domains - Injection Molding, Pressure Diecasting or Sheet Metal will be an added advantage

4. Ability to generate product and part designs and translate them to production items

5. Should be known or trained in areas like Six Sigma, 5S and Kaizen

Required Skills :

3. Good organisational skills and ability to motivate a team

4. Excellent attention to detail and committed to providing exceptional service

5. Should possess excellent communication skills, convincing skills, interpersonal and listening skills, analytical skills.

7. Should possess adequate Business Acumen
