- Finalise contracts with ship brokers and owners
- Calculate and understand laytime time calculations
- Have a understanding and knowledge of Supramax, panamax and cape vessel freights
- Manage the shipping schedule for bulk vessels
- Negotiate shipping rates with ship owners
- Monitor the performance of shipping agents
- Develop and maintain relationships with shipping partners
- Stay up-to-date on market trends and regulations
