Site HSE Manager - Mining Industry (6-10 yrs)
- Experience: 08+ years from mining industry only
- Language Proficiency: French and Swahili
- Candidate having experience in Due Diligence & ESG will be a plus
HSE Strategy Development:
- Formulate and implement comprehensive HSE strategies, policies, and procedures tailored to mining operations, ensuring compliance with both local and international regulations.
Due Diligence & ESG Integration:
- Lead due diligence activities, integrating ESG considerations into HSE practices to promote sustainable mining operations.
Risk Management:
- Conduct thorough risk assessments, develop mitigation plans, and oversee their implementation to minimize operational hazards.
Incident Investigation:
- Lead investigations into accidents and incidents, perform root cause analyses, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Training & Development:
- Design and deliver HSE training programs to ensure all personnel are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to maintain a safe working environment.
Management Systems Implementation:
- Oversee the implementation of Integrated Management Systems (IMS) to standardize HSE practices across the site.
CAPA Management:
- Develop and manage Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to address non-conformities and enhance operational safety.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with internal teams, local communities, and regulatory bodies to foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
