Job Summary :-

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Solar Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in solar PV system design, site assessments, and preparation of technical documentation. This role requires expertise in design tools, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities :-

1. Site Assessment & Data Collection :

- Conduct site visits and take accurate site measurements.

- Perform feasibility analysis for rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects.

- Collect and verify technical and electrical parameters required for design.

2. System Design & Engineering :

- Design solar PV systems using AutoCAD, SketchUp, and PVSyst.

- Size modules, strings, inverters, and other electrical components.

- Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities), layouts, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), and detailed engineering drawings.

- Ensure compliance with electrical standards, safety norms, and local DISCOM/net-metering rules.

3. Technical Analysis & Documentation :

- Analyse electricity bills (units, tariffs, load, TOD, demand charges) to evaluate solar feasibility.

- Prepare project documentation, technical reports, and client proposals.

- Maintain accuracy in design files, calculation sheets, and project records.

4. Project Coordination & Execution Support

Collaborate with site execution teams for smooth implementation.

Provide technical guidance and resolve on-site design challenges.

Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure design accuracy and project timelines.

5. Tools & Reporting :

Work extensively with Excel/Google Sheets for calculations, data analysis, and reporting.

Generate detailed design reports, shading analysis, and yield simulations using PVSyst.

Present technical designs and findings to internal teams and clients.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Engineering.

- Minimum 1+ years of experience in solar PV system design.

- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and PVSyst (mandatory).

- Strong knowledge of solar PV system sizing, inverters, string design, and electrical layouts.

- Understanding of DISCOM/net-metering policies and relevant electrical codes.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently as well as in coordination with teams.

- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
