Solar Design Engineer (3-10 yrs)

Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the design and engineering of rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV projects (utility-scale, hybrid with BESS, and standalone BESS).
- Prepare detailed designs, single line diagrams (SLDs), general arrangement drawings, cable sizing, equipment foundation design & drawings, and layouts.
- Preparation of complete bill of quantities (BOQ) for utility-scale solar and BESS projects.
- Work on optimization of system design and BOQ for cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
- Conduct load flow analysis, short circuit studies, and protection coordination.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and grid connectivity requirements (Net Metering / Gross Metering / STU).
- Coordinate with EPC, procurement, and project teams to provide design inputs and technical support.
- Evaluate and approve designs submitted by vendors, consultants, and contractors.
- Support tendering and bid preparation with design-related inputs.
- Review and finalize technical specifications, datasheets, and BOQs.
- Interface with statutory bodies for design approvals and clearances.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 3- 5 years of hands-on experience in solar PV system design, preferably with exposure to hybrid/BESS projects.
- Strong knowledge of PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD, or similar design tools.
- Familiarity with Indian and international standards (IEC, IS, IEEE, etc.).
- Experience in grid interconnection, substation design, and power evacuation schemes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and management skills.
