Job Description for Technician/Senior Technician

The Solar Energy Technician will be responsible for supervision of installation, repair and maintenance of solar energy systems. This role involves both fieldwork and technical diagnostics, requiring a thorough understanding of solar technologies to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Responsibilities

- Install photovoltaic (PV) systems in accordance with codes and standards using blueprints and schematic drawings.

- Perform routine maintenance and effective troubleshooting of solar energy systems.

- Ensure the proper functioning of solar panels and related equipment.

- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.

- Inspect and identify system malfunctions and repair deficiencies.

- Provide documentation and daily reports of site conditions and system performance.

- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to optimize system design and performance.

- Adhere to safety regulations and protocols during installations and repairs.

Qualifications

- ITI technical certification in Electrical or Solar energy or relevant field preferred.

- Proven experience as a solar technician or similar role in renewable energy.

- Strong understanding of electrical systems and solar energy technology.

- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
