Key Responsibilities:

- Lead sourcing efforts for carton packaging, including supplier identification, evaluation, and selection across diverse industries.

- Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to achieve cost optimization while maintaining quality and sustainability goals.

- Analyze carton packaging materials, designs, and manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, design, and operations, to develop and implement innovative packaging solutions.

- Drive sustainability initiatives by integrating eco-friendly materials and processes into packaging sourcing strategies.

- Conduct cost benchmarking and market analysis to ensure competitive pricing and alignment with industry standards.

- Manage vendor relationships, ensuring timely delivery, quality compliance, and continuous improvement in supply chain performance.

- Provide regular updates, insights, and performance reports to senior stakeholders and business leaders.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field (mandatory).

- 5- 12 years of procurement experience (flexibility of +/-1- 2 years may be considered).

- Strong expertise in carton packaging sourcing, supplier negotiation, and cost optimization across any industry.

- In-depth knowledge of packaging materials (e.g., corrugated board, paperboard), manufacturing techniques, and supply chain dynamics.

- Proven ability to drive sustainability initiatives within packaging procurement.

- Proficiency in cost analysis, vendor management, and contract negotiation.

- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to packaging materials and sustainability.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with a results-oriented mindset.

This is a 6-month (extendable) contractual opportunity based in Chennai.
