Title : Specialist - Accessories Kinematics

The main missions are to :

- Responsible for his/her specific product metier, globally. In charge of developing state-of-the-art metier/ product knowledge. In charge of metier network animation and good practices deployment. Supports application development teams.

Metier expertise :

- Detail understanding for development of seating Headrest, Armrest, Cushion length adjustment

- Able to define complex feasible mechanism for head rest, arm rest and related accessories components

- Should be able to hand calculation for feasibility of kinematics

- Must have sound know how of geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing

Technical responsibilities :

- Work on state-of-the-art metier/product knowledge and share with world wide Specialist/experts

- Organize regular exchange with metier members globally

- Define Standard & Manage capitalization of best practices through - Lessons learned- captured through problem solving technique

- Collect best/worst cases of world wide costumer projects and further benchmarks and define best practices

- Analyze and create new development tools

- Define and build basis of cooperation/partnership with costumer and suppliers for the integration of new Standards and Rules in link with OEM-specifications

- Train / coaching / knowledge sharing to metier members

- Deployment of latest technology within team

- Support application development team (details see job description for Product Engineers 1 and 2)

- Awareness of different software & tool to be utilized in his metier

- Demonstrate deep knowledge and relevant experience in his metier

- Ability to drive design review and solve technical issue

- Ability to file patent or dirive team to file patent

- Need to be able to customer meeting to add technical input to the project

- Ensure that knowledge management system is regulary update

- Has ability to create technology breakthrough and suggest innovative solution in product and process

Management responsibilities :

- Animate metier network

- Manage the interfaces with costing, DFA & all the key contributors to secure performance of our technical deliverables

- Coordinate/ allocate internal and external resources within perimeter (e.g. Cad Pool, Prototyping)

Qualifications :

- Degree or Master's degree in Mechanical or Automotive or Plastic or Industrial Engineering; or a comparable qualification

- More than ten years- experience in comparable position in automotive industry (e.g. Product Engineer) in seat development and production

- Relevant Metier Knowledge (e.g. in safety, pneumatic, electric/electronic systems, Plastic parts, accessories, textile/ car seat covers, foam)

- Familiar in the use of project management and quality tools

- Leadership, training and communication skills

- International Mindset

- Minimum bilingual (English required)

- Very good PC skills : MS Office (esp. MS Excel) and PC skill relevant for metier (e.g. Catia V5)

- Willingness to travel
