Required education, skills and experience:

- Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.

- Skills are typically acquired through an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering and 6 plus of years of job relevant experience.

- The successful candidate in this position will be expected to have a familiarity with programming languages such as FORTRAN, VB and VBA. A basic understanding of software packaging, deployment tools and methodologies also will be expected.

- Must be well organized, able to handle multiple tasks, have excellent written and oral communication skills, and demonstrate an eagerness to learn and provide superior customer service.

Preferred experience:

- Certification as an Engineer-in-Training (USA) or equivalent in other regions.

- Familiarity with ASME Pressure Vessel Codes, TEMA, API, ASCE and IBC Codes, engineering calculations and stress analysis.

- Understanding of computers, networks, programming, and software delivery.

- Experience in supporting below Engineering Applications will be a plus:

- Point Cloud (Laser Scans) Applications: LEICA Cyclone/CloudWorx/ TruView, AVEVA LFM/NetView, INOVxRealityLINx

- Stress Analysis and Design Software: Intergraph Caesar II, Intergraph PV Elite, Intergraph FEA Tools, PRG FEA Suite, HTRI Xchanger Suite, Aspen EDR, CodeWare COMPRESS

- 2-D/3-D: SmartSketch, AutoCAD, Navisworks, PDMS, Microstation (MSTN), PDS, S3D

- Other: UTS Tk Solver, PTC MathCAD, Thermoflow, GE GateCycle, DassaultSystemes SolidWorks, CEI Welding ProWrite, ESRI ArcGIS

- Development Tools: Microsoft VB .Net, Microsoft VBA, Intel FORTRAN

Job Description:

- Monitor the production application environments taking such action as may be necessary to ensure maximum availability and correct operational issues of the Mechanical suite of applications.

- Responsible for developing, maintaining, and sharing application systems architecture and technical documentation.

- Participate in the support of custom applications used to supplement the standard applications.

- Engineering application trouble-shooting and installation support.

- Management of virtual machines required for supporting and trouble-shooting engineering applications.
