Sterlite Power - Quality Engineer - Transmission Line (3-16 yrs)
1. Quality Planning & Documentation
- Develop and implement the Project Quality Plan (PQP) in line with company and client requirements.
- Prepare Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), checklists, and Method Statements for various construction activities.
- Maintain updated documentation for audits and client inspections.
2. Quality Control & Site Inspection
- Conduct regular site inspections for tower foundation, erection, stringing, and hardware fittings.
- Ensure quality of raw materials like steel, cement, conductors, insulators, etc., as per IS/IEC/ASTM standards.
- Coordinate third-party inspections and perform internal audits.
3. Non-Conformance & Corrective Actions
- Identify and document Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure timely Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Follow up on closure of NCRs and maintain records.
4. Supplier & Subcontractor Quality Management
- Conduct supplier audits and vendor assessments.
- Ensure vendors follow quality norms for fabrication of towers, bolts & nuts, etc.
- Review Material Test Certificates (MTCs), dispatch clearances, and inspection reports.
5. Quality Training & Improvement
- Provide training to site engineers and contractors on QA/QC practices.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives in field quality execution.
- Maintain Quality KPIs and dashboards for management review.
