Key Responsibilities of Store Incharge in STP:
1. Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate records of receipts, issues, and stock levels.
- Regularly update stock registers or inventory management systems.
- Conduct periodic stock audits and reconciliations.
2. Material Handling
- Receive materials/spare parts and verify with purchase orders and delivery challans.
- Store materials properly with identification tags, batch numbers, and expiry dates where applicable.
- Issue materials to operations/maintenance teams based on proper requisitions.
3. Procurement Coordination
- Raise indents or purchase requests based on minimum stock levels.
- Coordinate with the procurement/purchase department for timely delivery of materials.
- Follow up with vendors/suppliers for pending deliveries.
4. Chemical Stock Management
- Maintain adequate stock of treatment chemicals (chlorine, alum, polymer, etc.).
- Ensure chemicals are stored safely, with proper labeling and as per MSDS guidelines.
- Track consumption and shelf life to avoid expiry and wastage.
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain GRNs (Goods Receipt Notes), issue slips, and return slips.
- Generate daily/weekly/monthly stock reports and consumption reports.
- Maintain records for audits and compliance checks.
6. Coordination & Support
- Coordinate with maintenance, operations, and administration for inventory planning.
- Support in arranging tools and PPEs for workers and engineers.
- Handle return/replacement of defective or excess items.
7. Housekeeping and Safety
- Ensure proper housekeeping and cleanliness in the store area.
- Follow safety norms for chemical and equipment storage.
- Maintain fire safety equipment and MSDS sheets where needed.
