Reporting To: Store In-Charge / Site Admin / Project Manager

Experience Required: 4- 5 Years

Salary :20000-25000 Per Month Plus Project Site Benefits as applicable

Job Summary

- The Assistant Store Keeper is responsible for managing the receipt, storage, issuance, and documentation of materials used in solar power plant construction projects. The role ensures proper inventory control, accurate record keeping, and timely availability of materials for site activities while maintaining safety and material handling standards.

- The position supports the Store In-Charge in managing site stores efficiently and coordinating with procurement, project engineers, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities :

Material Receipt & Inspection :

- Receive incoming materials, equipment, and tools at the project site store.

- Verify materials against purchase orders, delivery challans, and packing lists.

- Assist in material inspection and documentation along with QA/QC engineers.

Report damaged or missing materials to the Store In-Charge.

Inventory Management :

- Maintain accurate records of all materials received, issued, and in stock.

- Update inventory records in store registers, ERP systems, or Excel sheets.

- Monitor stock levels and notify the Store In-Charge for reorder requirements.

- Conduct periodic physical stock verification.

Material Issuance :

- Issue materials to site engineers, contractors, and supervisors as per material requisition notes (MRN).

- Ensure proper documentation of issued materials.

- Track material consumption for different project activities.

Store Organization :

- Ensure proper storage and stacking of materials such as:

- Solar modules

- Electrical cables

- Inverters

- Mounting structures

- Hardware and fasteners

- Electrical panels and accessories

- Maintain clean, organized, and safe storage conditions.

Documentation & Reporting :

- Maintain records including:

- Goods Receipt Notes (GRN)

- Material Issue Slips

- Stock registers

- Material inward and outward logs

- Prepare daily and weekly inventory reports for the Store In-Charge.

Coordination with Project Team :

- Coordinate with site engineers, procurement team, and logistics personnel.

- Ensure timely availability of materials required for construction activities.

- Assist in material planning and inventory tracking.

Safety & Compliance :

- Follow proper material handling and safety procedures.

- Ensure safe storage of electrical and mechanical materials.

- Maintain compliance with company policies and site safety regulations.

Required Qualifications & Education:

Diploma / ITI / Graduate in:

- Supply Chain Management

- Mechanical / Electrical Engineering

- Logistics / Stores Management

- Any relevant field

Experience

- 4- 5 years of experience in store keeping or inventory management.

- Experience in construction projects, solar EPC, electrical projects, or infrastructure projects preferred.

Technical Skills
