The Role :

- The Strategic Sourcing Manager will lead and support the development, implementation, and management of sourcing strategies for all Direct and Indirect categories that optimize supplier partnerships, drive performance objectives and provide company with optimal flexibility, quality, delivery and lowest TCO for commodities.


- This position will be expected to deliver value and competitive advantage to the business as measured by customer satisfaction, project execution, value improvement, innovation, and other areas such as risk mitigation, where applicable.

- This key role builds strong relationships with our India and surrounding regions internal & external stakeholders- suppliers; plans, executes and finalizes sourcing strategies for direct and indirect product and service categories; works closely with key stakeholders to identify and execute potential opportunities that drive value to the organization.


- The Strategic Sourcing Manager will facilitate cross-functional teams to create an efficient and innovative partnership with all functions and levels of the organization.


- The Strategic Sourcing manager will work to capitalize on Corporate-wide agreements as well as working with local suppliers as necessary. This position is responsible for $5M-$20M spend and reports locally to the General Manager and dotted line to the Strategic Sourcing Leader

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

Operational Excellence :

- Define and execute an annual sourcing calendar of key initiatives for assigned categories, based on business plans, support from stakeholders, market conditions and terms of outstanding contracts

- Establish strong, collaborative relationships with internal departments and Stakeholders to clearly define requirements for both Direct and Indirect products and services with a focus on fundamental needs balanced with innovation and financial constraints, capitalizing on contracts in place when available and developing new as required

- Understand and track the key input cost drivers and market factors for assigned commodities, provide countermeasure concepts, forecast, and maintain costing and should be cost model

- Provide category knowledge and market expertise for assigned spend and continuously learn new technologies, processes, and industry best practices that delivers value to Loram

Supplier Relationship Management :

- Enable sourcing value by leveraging market knowledge,supplier optimization, predictable and industry leading pricing plans, RF(x)and (TCO) cost modeling through transparent SRM

- Utilizing the SRM program established, implement SRM programs that include developing value driven performance measures and scorecards, tracking and reporting against performance metrics, conducting timely supplier performance reviews, and taking appropriate corrective and recognition actions

- Establish SRM strategies to deliver against Loram goals and achieve sustainable supplier relationships

- Apply best in class practices and trends to create forward-thinking category and SRM strategies, including the implementation of technology/ analytical tools

- Establish in-country supply relationships to drive price reductions without negatively impacting quality

Sourcing Process :

- Execute, leverage, and deploy sourcing levers across all spend to create a competitive advantage for Loram

- Lead supplier negotiations and work with internal business partners in drafting and executing contracts that protect the business interests of Loram, while providing best overall value. Oversee and advise on contract structure, Terms and Conditions, and performance-based contracting with Suppliers

- Aggressively seek opportunities for cost containment and/or improvement. Develop performance metrics, benchmarks and utilize best practices sourcing within various categories

- Lead cross-functional team of department owners and other stakeholders, through the End-to-End Sourcing Process (Identification through Implementation) and coordinate their engagement

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

Education : Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Economics, or related field

Experience :

- Minimum 8 years in direct sourcing experience in Direct and/or Indirect categories

- Minimum 4 years experience in developing, negotiating, and implementing various contract types

- Strong background working cross functionally with multiple functions that drive business outcomes

- Strong experience in sourcing in a global economy, particularly in India and Asia Pac

- Must be knowledgeable about import/export

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

- Robust interpersonal skills, including collaboration and willingness to make changes based on feedback

- Demonstrated ability in building and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization while managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment

- Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to generate compelling and powerful PowerPoint presentations

- Work independently while being a contributing member of the Sourcing team

- High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously

- Import/export requirements for India & Asia Pac

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

- Masters is a plus. Professional Certification (CPM/CPSM/APICS) is strongly preferred

- General understanding of the lean/Six Sigma practices and processes

- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Ability to handle sudden setbacks. Willingness to operate in a dynamic environment. Ability to make quick decisions with 80% information.
