Structural Design Engineer - AutoCAD/Staad Pro (5-20 yrs)
Job Description :
Key tasks include :
- Experience developing schematics for structures in accordance with client specifications and safety standards.
- Analyze configurations of the basic components of a structure likes Bridges (Major and Minor), Flyover, ROB, Viaduct, WOP, Underpasses, etc. Use computer-aided design technology for simulation purposes using relevant Codes and Standards and Tools. Provide technical advice on safe designs and construction.
- Define clear goals for all aspects of a project and develop steps for their proper execution.
- Monitor and inspect all work undertaken by contractors to ensure structural soundness.
- Administer contracts and manage projects.
- Inspect properties to evaluate the conditions and foundations.
- Making sure that projects meet legal guidelines, environmental directives, and health and safety requirements.
- Structural Design Engineer Requirements:
- Post-Graduation Degree in civil or structural engineering (essential).
- Minimum 5 years of work experience as a structural engineer (essential).
- Using a range of computer packages (AutoCAD, STAAD Pro. or equivalent finite element analysis software, MS-OFFICE, etc.) for developing detailed designs for likes Bridges (Major and Minor), Flyover, ROB, Viaduct, WOP, Underpasses, etc. and other components.
- Professionally registered with the Institute of structural engineers.
- Expert experience in project management.
- Advanced knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Sound understanding of physics and mathematics.
- Ability to liaise with professionals from other disciplines. The ability to explain design plans and ideas.
- Three-dimensional conceptual skills.
- Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and IT skills.
