Job role Summary:
- We are seeking a creative, technically proficient and professionally driven Structural engineer to join our Nagpur office. The ideal candidate will help conceptualize, develop, and execute Structural designs for commercial, hospitality, residential, and mixed-use projects. You will collaborate with internal design teams, engineers, and external stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that meet project goals on time.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Project Development
- Prepare conceptual, schematic, and detailed Structural designs that align with client requirements & codes
- Perform engineering calculations and analysis for gravity, wind, seismic, and other applicable loads in accordance with governing codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, TMS, etc.).
- Size and design structural elements including beams, columns, slabs, walls, bracing, connections, and foundations.
- Evaluate load paths, constructability, serviceability, and economy of proposed systems.
- Perform and review computer-based analysis models (e.g., RISA, ETABS, SAP) and validate results with hand checks.
- Provide engineering direction to drafters and BIM teams, ensuring drawings accurately reflect design intent.
- Assist with submittals/RFIs, site coordination, and design clarifications.
- Manage deliverables across concurrent projects.
Project Management
- Oversee projects through all design phases - from concept to construction documentation and delivery.
- Conduct code compliance and Quality control through company standard operating procedures.
- Prepare and review technical specifications, schedules, and compliance.
Innovation & Technology
- Utilize advanced design technology (e.g., Revit, BIM workflows, DFMA design)
- Contribute to the adoption of efficient design processes that support BASE4's focus on fast, cost effective solutions
Teamwork & Leadership
- Mentor junior engineers and interns where applicable.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across global offices
- Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and innovation
Software & Tools:
- Risa Floor, Risa 3D, Risa foundation, Risa connections, Adapt, Etabs, MS office.
Preferred:
- Experience working on international projects with BIM workflows and collaborative design coordination.
- Familiarity with ASCE standards, International Building Code (IBC).
- Exposure to hospitality, residential, or commercial projects
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or Master's degree in Structural Engineering from a recognized institution
- 1- 2 years of professional experience in Structural design, preferably within commercial or hospitality projects.
- Ability to read and prepare plans, schematics and perform Structural calculations.
- General code knowledge
