Structural & Production Engineer (10-15 yrs)
- Provide leadership for the day-to-day direction of the engineering team.
- Direct, review, and approve engineering designs and changes.
- Understand the scope of Work for New Build (offshore construction) and Vessel Conversion Projects.
- Define and manage the scope of work for Engineering teams.
- Prepare technical specifications.
- Prepare engineering execution plan.
- Plan multidiscipline engineering activities.
- Prepare Manpower Planning forecast for Multi-Disciplinary Engineering team and present to Management.
- Manage detail design and production engineering teams.
- Receive and evaluate AFD, AFC documents from engineering companies.
- Liaise with client to get approval for Engineering work.
- Incorporate construction methodology in the design.
- Manage changes from client /vendors and engineering company.
- Produce/Check/approve Production deliverables / workshop drawings such as:
- 3D model development including Structural, Mechanical, Piping, EIT using Tekla/CADMATIC /E3D or similar software.
- Assembly drawings, Detail Assembly Procedures / Plate Nesting, Profile plots / Forming drawings / Weld mapping drawings, Weld list / Part list / Material (plate & profile) tracking sheets / Profile optimization list / MTO's.
- Monitors progress against project schedules and budgets; recommend / approve allocation of resources as required to accomplish goals.
- Drive continuous improvement of processes, quality and cost to maintain profitability and competitiveness.
- Responsible for assisting in interviewing, hiring and training employees as per department/project requirements.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence to meet departmental / project objectives.
- Provide on the job training to the subordinates and succession plan within the department.
