Responsibilities and duties :

- Create imaginative, thorough and practical technical solutions that are key to successful product development. Protect technology development that are core to the long-term success of the business through the patent protection and invention disclosure process

- Provides technical leadership to highly creative design teams internally and externally to invent and develop innovative successful new product concepts. Co-ordinate smart, innovative solutions to design challenges, and research in problem areas of considerable scope and complexity

- Accountable to achieve product performance, quality objectives, program planning and effective execution, as well as communicating program status and escalating issues when appropriate.

- Guides management and supports business development as required on technical direction and participates in the analysis of emerging technologies

Experience/skills required :

- Bachelors in Mechanical/Biomedical/Manufacturing Engineering.

- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

- 10+ years of experience/Master's degree with 8+ years/PhD with 6+ years


- Experience on NPD process and various phases of new product development.

- Expertise in human anatomy and common surgical procedures is a benefit


- Good working knowledge of CAM/CAE computer systems, engineering materials and design, coating technologies, plastic part design, 3D Printing and advanced manufacturing technologies. Fluent in 3D CAD with good working knowledge of Finite Element Analysis tools.

- Must be able to generate, follow and explain detailed proposals and operating procedures with an in depth understanding of ISO 13485 and FDA quality system requirements

- Willingness to travel for live surgery, customer visits and global partner collaboration
