Subject Matter Expert - Fiber Network Operations (3-6 yrs)
Purpose/Objective : Responsible for the overall Fiber Operational and Maintenance of the Network, it can be Backbone or Metro Access Network
Key/Major Activities :
- Compile regular updates from field engineers related to civil works
- Visit the critical sections from time to time
- Liaison/meet other agencies and govt. authorities regularly
- Provide backend office support to site teams for material availability to vendor, PE approvals and aerial to underground work
- Coordinate and manage vendors on regular basis
- Provide regular update on mails/calls to NOC during cable cut restoration process
- Initiating PE request in portal and following up for approvals
- Billing closure for the vendors
- Need to keep SLA/KPI paramters into account and work accordingly.
- Ensure Material Availability with minimum stock in hand for O&M Activity.
- Ensure Team should follow all HSW Norms
Technical Skills :
- Hands on ground experience of Fiber O&M
- Experience of using OTDR, Power Meter, Laser Source, Locator,etc
- Having Knowledge of Overall Telecom Network and could able to handle the critical situation
- Good Knowledge of Optical Fiber Cable Features and Specification
Behavioural Skills :
- Good communication skill, Clear English speaking and writing ability,
- Basic O&M skill
- Excellent co-ordination and Inter-personal effectiveness
- Have systematic approach towards work areas
- Should be able to cope up excellently under stressful circumstances.
