The strength of our intelligent and connected batteries along with our Quick Interchange Stations Network, creates a convenient refueling infrastructure, faster and cheaper than existing petrol and diesel pumps for ICE vehicles.

Job Purpose

The Head of QIS will oversee the complete product development lifecycle from inception to mass production and field support of Quick Interchange Station (QIS).

Role Description:

- Heading Design and Development of swapping stations

- Lead Design and Development of Robotics solution to assist swapping

- New product development and technology roadmap for swapping stations

- Product costing

The job involves various aspects of the development such as

1. Concept level architecture finalisation

2. Detailed design drawings, documentation

3. Making physical prototypes using in house and outsourced resources

4. Design finalisation and releases

Field Support

- Build and organize department management structure deploy teams for efficient operations

- Proactively identify areas of potential risks & put in mitigation plans

- Drives process improvements & quality standards. Implement best in class practices in Battery Swapping.

- Identifies training opportunities for staff to build and improve skills

- Works with chief financial officer to develop operating budget

- Contribute to development/ implementation of organizational strategies & objectives

- Team Management and day to day interaction/progress

- Performs other related duties as assigned

- Open to travel as needed

Core Responsibilities:

- Efficiently Plan, Lead Organize & Control QIS design and development activities

- Plan improvement projects - resource, budget, targets, direct and indirect resources, approvals

- Continuous Training & Skill development of personnel

- Monitor targets & review for improvements

- Manage Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, Morale of Design & Development activities

Ideal Candidate (Experience, Qualification, Previous Work-ex, Companies etc.)

- Experience: At least 15+ years of experience in Product development lifecycle and Head of the department since last 5 year

- Education: Graduate/post graduate Electronics/electrical/mechatronics engineers

- Should have controlled the team of Electrical, Automation with frugal design engineering concept.

- Experience in robotics system development and deployment will be an added advantage.

- Experience from developing the Engineering design to team management.

- Experience in Power Electronics, Hardware & Software.

- Have the ability to think out of the box in for new product development. techniques

- Proven project management skills, customer focus, safety & quality orientation

- Good communication skills

- Excellent Leadership Team Management Skills

- A proactive & innovative approach

- Passion to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

- Proficient with Microsoft office tools such as Excel, word, power point, email.

- Passion for electric vehicles & clean energy
