Title: Electrical & Electronics Costing Engineer

Education:

Graduate in Electronics / Electrical Engineering

Experience:

6 8 years in manufacturing and cost estimation

Domain:

Semiconductors, Aerospace, Automotive & Industrial

Role & Responsibilities:

- Will be responsible for should cost analysis of electrical and electronic products at component/subsystem/system level in semiconductors machinery & industrial domain.

Commodity expertise: PCB, PCBA, Cable Harness & Box build assemblies

- Expertise in estimating the BOM cost, assembly cost & logistics

- Identify & quantify cost factors such as cycle time, materials, machinery and labor expenses.

- Establish cost estimates of production processes and tooling costs and review alternatives or put forward recommendations for improvement

- Component engineering & obsolescence management activities

- Interaction with cross functional teams for technical discussions.

- Investigate and identify cost reduction opportunities through cost analysis review

Knowledge and Skills required:

- Working experience in electronic manufacturing industry

- Experience in should costing / product cost management is preferred.

- Exposure to electrical & electronic products, PCB, PCBAs, control panels, motors, wire harness, sensors, electro mechanical, electro optical systems, power electronics etc.

- Through understanding on IPC standards including IPC/WHMA 620, IPC A 610 etc-

- Knowledge on electronic components and their packages

- Knowledge on analog & digital circuits and microcontroller based circuits.

- Knowledge on PCB fabrication, assembly and test procedures

- Knowledge on motors, transformers and wire harness manufacturing and testing process.

- Knowledge on environmental, vibration and reliability testing of products.

- Shall have the capability to read electrical drawings and schematics

- Knowledge on PPAP

- Should be conversant with Quality system like ISO 9001, IATF16949, ISO13845 etc..

- Knowledge on safety systems like 5S, ISO14001, ISO18001 IEC 61508, ANSI/ESD S20.20 etc...
