Supply Quality Engineer (8-10 yrs)
Job Description :
Key Roles & Responsibilities :
- Develop and establish supplier quality system for Automotive components at initial phase.
- Conduct on-site Quality System Assessment (quality systems, part and process verifications) for new processes at existing suppliers or new suppliers to BorgWarner
- Work closely with suppliers during product development using APQP methodologies
- Review and approval of supplier FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP, Control plan & inspection methods
- Monitoring supplier score cards and work on improving the suppliers.
- Periodic Supplier process and system audits
- Initiate 8D's for complaints on purchased materials (CPM) and track 8D progress.
- Experience in the domain of Aluminium die castings, stamping, plating, PCB- s, Bearing, Rubber seals & tool development
- Well versed in reading drawings, GD&T and setting up Quality Inspection plans
- Through with setting up quality systems at Supplier's place and able to maintain documents to meet the quality system requirements
- Training the suppliers on Supplier Manual, Supplier Scorecard, BorgWarner policies and procedures.
- Strong communication skills
- Leadership skills, ability to grow
- Ability to work independently
