Job description

SWOP is an Engineering/Manufacturing company with its own range of capital equipments to support the O&G industry on the upstream sector. SWOP over the last decade has contract manufactured Drill through equipment for major capital drilling through equipment. Our plant is a HMH certified repair facility for all there drilling equipment majorly Blowout preventers serving offshore/Onshore for companies like ONGC, The Greatship, Transocean shelf drilling etc. SWOP Engineering previously known as Hydril Pressure Control Private Limited was a Joint Venture of Hydril pressure control U.S.A.

Grade : Assembly Fitter & Tester

Objective : Riser disassembling, Assembling, and Testing Work

Job Purpose: Repair of Risers, manufacturing of BOPs and base frame required for Oil & Gas Rig.

Education : ITI / Diploma in Engineering

Key Responsible Areas

- Responsible to perform mechanical assembly & testing as assigned by supervisor / team leader.

- To maintain the 5s in workplace.

- To ensure the spares received from store.

- To Perform the buffing & grinding process.

- To perform BOP fluid preservation.

- Material handling through cranes and forklift.

- Ability to use Hydraulic, pneumatic and hand power tools.

- Ability to use manual and hydraulic torque wrenches.

- Reading & understanding of drawings, procedures, work instructions and specifications.

- Responsible to maintain the identification and traceability of the product and preservation of product.

Desired Candidate Profile

- Measurement techniques

- Reading & understanding of Drawings, Procedures, work instructions and specifications.

- Assembly / Testing defect identification and trouble shooting.

- Ability to perform Dimensional inspection & measurement.

- Material Handling - Crane operation, selection of slings, movement of materials.

- Assembling, Dismantling, Testing, and troubleshooting of Assembly defects.

- Assembly and testing of BOP's and allied products.

- Ability to use Hydraulic, pneumatic and hand power tools.

- Ability to use manual and hydraulic torque wrenches.

- Ability to use the High-pressure testing unit and BOP testing unit

Knowledge Required

- Modern Material Handling technology.

- Storage/handling of Assay & Testing consumables

- Instruments, machineries & equipment calibrations

- Modern Assay & Testing technology

- Assembly & Testing defects & effects

- Knowledge in the related element of QMS

- Maintenance of reports, records & documents.

- Awareness in reading of BOM, Procedures, and specifications.

- Awareness of Hydraulics and Pneumatics Equipments and machinery.

- BOP operation and working principle.

- Assembly & Testing of Manifold, piping fitting, flanges

- Ability to read engineering drawings for fabrication such as 3rd angle projection drawing.

- Understanding and executing fabrication work.
