System Engineer - Functional Safety (8-15 yrs)
Job Role : Systems Engineer
Experience :
Location : Bengaluru, Karnataka.
About the role :
In collaboration with the hardware, software and mechanical teams, you are responsible for the following areas :
- The development and control of requirements on projects, including to traceability to lower level requirements and test artifacts
- Work with customers to negotiate requirements
- Develop and maintain artifacts to demonstrate compliance to customer and safety requirements, including collecting artifacts from other teams
- Work with customers to gain acceptance on any deviations to requirements
- Support audits from customers
- Develop, maintain and improve the requirements and control process
- Develop metrics and tools to track progress on projects
- Develop training materials and best practices for requirements and control process
- Create technical documents such as manuals, reports, specifications
- Convey technical concepts in simple, clear instructions with detailed images such as charts or diagrams
- Be intimately familiar with product features and functionalities
Desired Candidate Profile :
- Master of Engineering or Bachelor of Engineering degree with 10+ years of work experience
- Experience with requirements management concepts and tools
- Experience in the design, development and testing of electronics and software systems
- Experience with automotive industry and ISO-26262 Functional Safety preferred
- A passion for continuous improvement through streamlined and optimizing engineering processes
- Comfortable working with the ambiguity inherent in implementing new technologies and processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interface with technical contributors, projects leaders, executive management and customer
