Role Overview

Tachion Electricals & Controls Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a Mechanical Engineer with hands-on experience in BIM (Revit) and AutoCAD for EPC / turnkey projects. The candidate will support mechanical design development, BIM modeling, coordination, and documentation for Oil & Gas and Data Centre projects.

Key Responsibilities

BIM / Revit Modeling

- Prepare and develop BIM models in Revit for mechanical systems such as HVAC, piping, fire protection, utilities, and equipment layouts.

- Work on LOD 300 / LOD 400 models

- Coordinate models with electrical, instrumentation, structural, and architectural teams.

- Support clash detection and coordination using Navisworks or similar BIM tools.

- Update models based on design revisions, site inputs, and as-built requirements.

Mechanical Design & Drafting

- Prepare mechanical layouts, equipment layouts, piping GA drawings, and routing drawings using AutoCAD.

- Develop shop drawings and construction drawings as required.

- Read and understand P&IDs, mechanical schematics, and design specifications.

- Ensure drawings comply with project standards and client requirements.

EPC Project Support

- Support design and execution teams for EPC / turnkey projects.

- Coordinate with site teams for drawing clarifications and revisions.

- Assist in preparation and updating of as-built drawings and documentation.

- Interface with internal teams for timely delivery of drawings.

Quality & Compliance

- Follow company and project BIM standards, templates, and workflows.

- Maintain drawing accuracy, version control, and documentation records.

- Ensure adherence to applicable industry codes and standards (project-specific).

Required Skills & Knowledge

- Hands-on experience in Revit (BIM) for mechanical systems.

- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD.

- Basic understanding of mechanical systems used in Oil & Gas and Data Centre projects.

- Familiarity with BIM coordination and multi-discipline workflows.

- Willingness to learn and work in an EPC / turnkey project environment.

- Good communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.

- Exposure to Oil & Gas / Data Centre / Infrastructure projects.

- Knowledge of Navisworks, BIM 360, or similar BIM tools will be an added advantage.
