Job Title : Tendering and Estimation Engineer

Location: Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra 400701

Employment Type: Full-Time

Work Environment: Primarily office-based with occasional on-site execution

Industry: Electrical Panel Manufacturing, Process & Metering Skids, Industrial Automation

Key Responsibilities:

1. Estimation & Costing

- Prepare detailed cost estimates for HSD systems (storage tanks, piping, pumps, valves, filtration, dispensing units, controls, safety systems).

- Prepare BOQs and cost estimates for Electrical systems, including:

- HT & LT panels

- Transformers, DG sets, UPS

- Power & control cabling

- Earthing & lightning protection

- Lighting systems (industrial & outdoor)

- Analyze tender drawings, specifications, and client requirements.

- Perform quantity take-offs from drawings and technical documents.

- Prepare rate analysis for materials, labor, tools, and equipment.

2. Tendering & Proposal Support

- Participate in pre-bid meetings and clarifications.

- Prepare techno-commercial proposals in coordination with engineering, procurement, and planning teams.

- Evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations for HSD and electrical scope.

- Identify value engineering opportunities without compromising safety or compliance.

3. Technical Coordination

- Coordinate with design, execution, procurement, and QA/QC teams.

- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and codes, such as:

- IS / IEC / IEEE

- NFPA (for HSD systems, fire safety)

- OISD guidelines

- Review vendor datasheets and technical compliance.

4. Cost Control & Budgeting

- Assist in project budgeting and cost planning.

- Support variation / extra item estimation during execution.

- Maintain cost databases, standard estimation templates, and historical data.

5. Documentation & Reporting

- Prepare and maintain:

- BOQs

- Cost comparison statements

- Estimation summaries

- Assumptions and exclusions lists

- Provide estimation inputs for management review and approvals.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or Mechanical Engineering.

- 4-9 years of experience in estimation of HSD systems and electrical works for industrial, oil & gas, infrastructure, or EPC projects.
