Job Description :
- Develop the designs, plans and related inputs for planetary Gear Boxes- GBs (Type 1,2,3), by reengineering or understanding customer/product requirements, utilizing existing inventory of components. Review and approve the designs/plans for Type 1,2 and 3 GBs prepared by the team ensuring that they meet specifications and standards.
- Coordinate with the marketing and costing departments on changes that have been requested by customer/change in specifications/materials/processes, so that the product can be appropriately estimated and priced.
- Review and approve the necessary drawings developed by the draughtsman, along with the any other specific requirements for manufacturing the product, based on the approved customer/product specifications, and share with the Manufacturing team
- Review and approve the Bill of Materials prepared by the Designer, by identifying necessary raw materials, on the ERP system for the management, planning and procurement of raw materials by the Planning, Finance and Purchase department
- Publish the Drawing release memo along with the Bill of materials to the manufacturing team for commencement of production, along with any special requirements of the product, so as to meet the required specifications
