About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced and visionary Technical Design Expert to enhance our workspace and hospitality interiors through exceptional technical detailing beyond concept design. The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years of experience, with a proven portfolio that showcases mastery in creating exquisite, precision-driven detailing that sets designs and execution apart.

Specific Duties:

- Lead Detailed Design & Execution: Transform conceptual interiors into polished, buildable spaces through comprehensive drawings and documentation- from FF&E interfaces to custom joinery, lighting transitions, and finishing details.

- Add the "X Factor" in Detailing: Go beyond standard technical layouts by including innovative detailing elements- such as junction treatments, bespoke material interfaces, and integrated lighting reveals- that enhance craftsmanship and improve the guest experience.

- Create precise construction documents: Produce accurate Revit/AutoCAD drawings, including sections, elevations, detail drawings, schedules, and specifications, ensuring smooth handoff to contractors and fabricators.

- Collaborate Across Disciplines: Coordinate with architects, structural and MEP engineers, FF&E teams, fabricators, and contractors to maintain design intent throughout detailing and construction.

- Ensure Technical Feasibility: Validate detailing against site conditions, production methods, durability, accessibility, sustainability standards, and budget constraints.

- Mentor and Lead: Guide and elevate the capabilities of junior/intermediate designers in detailing and documentation; set quality benchmarks and review standards.

- Quality Assurance & Construction Oversight: Review shop drawings, submittals, finish mock-ups, and oversee site roll-out to ensure fidelity to your detailing vision.

Key Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience:

- Over 15 years of practical experience in technical design and documentation for hospitality and workplace interiors, with a portfolio that highlights detailed project execution.

- Bachelor's or Master's in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture.

- Advanced expertise in Revit (essential), AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, and the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).

- Deep knowledge of FF&E detailing, finishes, lighting integration, custom millwork, materials science, and specification writing.

- Proven experience working on luxury hospitality (hotels, resorts, restaurants) and premium workplace interiors.

- Exceptional visual and spatial awareness to craft details that distinguish projects.

- Strong leadership, mentoring, and client communication skills.

- Familiarity with international design codes, accessibility standards, and sustainability certifications (NCIDQ, LEED AP, WELL preferred).

- A history of creating brand-defining luxury interiors with innovative detailing that elevates guest perception.

- Experience translating design narratives into precisely refined interiors that highlight craftsmanship.

- Fluency in various design tools, including 3ds Max, Enscape, Bluebeam, and V-Ray, for presentation and documentation quality.

- Evidence of incorporating sustainability, wellbeing, or innovative design technologies in the built environment.
