Technical Service Engineer (9-15 yrs)
- Key Responsibilities-
- Customer Technical Support-
- Troubleshoot extrusion issues (fusion, burning, surface finish, impact failure).
- Optimize CPVC extrusion process parameters on-site.
- Guide customers on machine setup, tooling, compound handling & maintenance.
- Document issues and share RCA & CAPA reports.
- Product & Process Trials-
- Conduct lab-scale and plant-scale trials for new CPVC compounds.
- Record critical process data (torque, melt temp, die pressure, vacuum).
- Evaluate product quality and coordinate findings with R&D.
- Suggest formulation or additive improvements.
- Technical Documentation-
- Prepare technical reports, trial summaries & customer visit reports.
- Support SOP creation for extrusion & testing.
- Develop processing guidelines and training materials.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration-
- Work closely with R&D, QA/QC & Production for product enhancement.
- Share customer feedback for new product development.
- Assist in benchmarking competitor products.
- Training & Knowledge Sharing-
- Conduct technical training sessions for customers & internal teams.
- Stay updated with evolving extrusion technologies and testing methods.
- Key Skills-
- Strong understanding of CPVC/PVC material science & extrusion technology
- Hands-on experience with twin-screw extrusion & die design
- Strong analytical & problem-solving ability
- Good communication & reporting skills
- Experience with Brabender, DSC, impact tester, MFI tester, etc.
- Qualifications-
- B.E./B.Tech in Polymer Science, Chemical/Plastics Engineering (CIPET/MIT/ICT preferred)
- - 2- 7 years- of experience in CPVC/PVC extrusion, technical service, or application development
