Technical Service Professional - International Market (2-4 yrs)

Job role- Technical Service- International Market (India)

Experience - 2-4 years

Location - kolkata

Role Purpose

To support technical service activities for tire and non-tire rubber customers by facilitating new grade approvals, ensuring adherence to customer-specific requirements, resolving technical issues, and coordinating cross-functionally to enhance product performance, customer satisfaction, and brand reputation.

Key Responsibilities

A. New Grade & Customer Approval

- Coordinate with Marketing, R&D, and Manufacturing teams for approval of new carbon black grades for existing and new customers across tire and non-tire segments.

- Support initiatives aimed at expanding the customer base.

B. Customer Engagement & Technical Support

- Schedule and conduct customer meetings for technical discussions.

- Provide solutions for technical issues raised by customers.

- Ensure 100% adherence to customer engagement schedules and action plans.

C. Specification Review & Implementation

- Review carbon black specifications shared by customers.

- Ensure 100% implementation of approved specifications into internal systems.

D. Customer Satisfaction & CSR Compliance

- Develop and maintain Customer Specific Requirement (CSR) matrices based on customer Supplier Quality Manuals.

- Ensure timely updating, communication, and implementation of CSR across the organization.

E. Brand Building & Product Stewardship

- Participate in global product stewardship initiatives.

- Support activities related to product safety and customer information management.

- Evaluate CSR initiatives on global platforms and assist in implementing improvements.

F. Improvement Initiatives & Projects

- Coordinate new projects assigned by Planning or Marketing based on market requirements.

- Work with cross-functional teams for development or modification of grades aligned with market needs.

3. Internal & External Work Relationships

Internal Contacts :

- Manufacturing Units, Planning, Procurement, Logistics, IT, Marketing

- Support on product applications

- Escalation and closure of CAPA

- Ensuring implementation of CSR across the organization

External Contacts :

- Customers, Suppliers, External Laboratories

- Resolution of customer complaints

- Support for product approvals and specification-based requirements

- Development of new packaging solutions as per market needs

4. Certifications

- Certification in QMS (Quality Management Systems) preferred.

5. Functional Skills & Competencies

- Basic knowledge of rubber technology and carbon black applications

- Strong analytical skills to understand process requirements and product applications

- Ability to apply problem-solving tools and basic statistical methods

- Working knowledge of QMS principles

- Ability to coordinate cross-functionally and manage customer relationships

- Good communication and documentation skills
