Job Posting: Lead Engineer - Civil and Structural

We are seeking a Lead Engineer - Civil and Structural to oversee and manage the design, review, and execution of civil and structural engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have 12-17 years of experience in consultancy, specializing in concrete and steel structures.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review project design basis, including plot plans, grading, roads, drainage, and building structures (RCC and steel).

- Assess specifications for site development, geotechnical investigations, foundations, structural steelwork, and general building works.

- Review survey drawings, geotechnical reports, and structural calculations (soil stability, foundations, dynamic analysis, blast-proof design).

- Evaluate contractor method statements and technical bid evaluations (TBE).

- Perform site visits to resolve technical queries and ensure construction follows approved designs.

- Review and approve project deliverables, ensuring compliance with design requirements, procurement policies, and value engineering principles.

- Evaluate new materials and construction methods for cost-effectiveness and efficiency.

- Train and mentor junior engineers to enhance their technical knowledge and skills.

Requirements:

Education: B.Tech/B.E. in Civil/Structural Engineering (M.Tech/M.E. preferred).

Experience: 12-17 years of hands-on experience in structural design, specifically concrete and steel.

- Proficiency in design software (STADDPRO, ETABS, NISA) and MS Office, Mathcad.

- Strong knowledge of Indian and international design codes, geotechnical investigations, and foundation design.

Skills:

- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

- Ability to interpret design codes and provide technical guidance.

Key Challenges:

- Managing complex design reviews and ensuring timely resolution of construction queries.
