Tendering Manager (15-20 yrs)
Job Description
Job Summary:
The Senior Tendering professional will be responsible for managing the end-to-end tendering and bidding process, including preparation, evaluation, submission, and post-submission coordination. The role requires strong expertise in tender documentation, cost estimation, contractual analysis, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant bid submissions.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Tender Management:
- Identify and evaluate tender opportunities from government, PSU, and private sector portals.
- Analyze tender documents, BOQs, drawings, technical specifications, and contractual terms.
- Prepare complete tender submissions including technical, commercial, and financial bids.
- Ensure tenders are submitted accurately and within stipulated timelines.
2) Costing & Estimation:
- Coordinate with estimation, engineering, procurement, and project teams for cost inputs.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, rate analysis, and pricing strategies.
- Conduct risk assessment and margin analysis for bids.
3) Documentation & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with tender requirements, eligibility criteria, and statutory norms.
- Prepare method statements, project execution plans, and other supporting documents.
- Maintain tender records, bid trackers, and submission documentation.
4) Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination:
- Liaise with vendors, subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams for quotations and clarifications.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and manage tender-related correspondence.
- Coordinate post-bid clarifications, negotiations, and contract finalization.
5) Contract Review & Negotiation:
- Review contract terms and conditions, identify risks, and suggest mitigation measures.
- Support management during commercial negotiations and award finalization.
6) Reporting & Process Improvement:
- Prepare MIS reports on tender status, success ratios, and bid pipelines.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance bid quality and success rate.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of tendering processes, contract management, and estimation.
- Excellent understanding of BOQs, drawings, specifications, and contractual clauses.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and tender portals.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders under tight deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Civil preferred) / Quantity Surveying / Construction Management.
- Postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage.
Experience:
- 15 to 20 years of experience in tendering, bidding, estimation, or contracts.
- Prior experience in Infrastructure, EPC, Construction, Real Estate, or Engineering projects preferred.
