TEPL - Design Engineer - Sheet Metal/Fabrication (2-9 yrs)

Job Role : Design Engineer
Job Location : Mumbai (Thane)
Functional Area : Machine Design / Material Handling / Product Design / Sheet metal
Education & Experience :
B.E/B.Tech in Engineering with around 2 years - 4 years of experience
Desired Candidates :
- Good in engineering mechanics, strength of materials & theory of machines.
- A good grasp of engineering and design principles
- 4 years of core experience in sheet metal design, machine design, material handling equipment design.
- Good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic.
- Knowledge in GD&T, stack up analysis.
- Good knowledge on any of the 3D modeling software (SolidWorks / Pro-E / Autodesk Inventor).
- Excellent communication skills and good team working skills.
- Willing to travel overseas for short and long assignments.
Job Description :
- Understand the requirements and work with different teams to implement new ideas.
- Create design concept and detail engineering
- Design considering manufacturability, cost, performance and durability.
- Conduct design review to improve product performance and resolve technical issues.
- Knowledge in GD&T, stack up analysis, different industrial standards like ANSI, JIS, DIN etc.
- Close co-ordination with customers and supplier.
- Good knowledge in Tooling, fixture and jigs would be a plus.
- Knowledge of manufacturing / production / assembly processes would be a plus.
- Hands on experience in various manufacturing processes would be a plus.
