We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual with over 10 years of experience in civil engineering, particularly in project management, to lead our Civil Engineering department as the Head of Civil Engineering. As the Head of Civil Engineering, you will oversee all aspects of civil engineering projects, manage a team of engineers and technicians, and ensure the successful completion of projects within budget and on schedule.

Responsibilities

1. Project Management- Lead and manage civil engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project specifications, timelines, and budget constraints.

2. Team Leadership- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a team of civil engineers, designers, and technicians, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

3. Strategic Planning - Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Civil Engineering department, aligning with the company's overall goals and objectives.

4. Resource Allocation - Allocate resources effectively to optimize project outcomes, including personnel, equipment, and materials.

5. Quality Assurance - Ensure the highest standards of quality and compliance with regulatory requirements in all civil engineering projects.

6. Client Relationship Management - Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and expectations, and ensuring their satisfaction with project deliverables.

7. Risk Management - Identify potential risks and challenges in civil engineering projects and implement proactive measures to mitigate them.

8. Budget Management - Develop and manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, and implement cost-saving measures where possible.

9. Innovation and Research - Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in civil engineering, and integrate innovative solutions into project designs and processes.

10. Collaboration- Collaborate with other departments within the organization to ensure seamless integration and coordination of interdisciplinary projects.

11. Travelling - visit the different sites to oversee there is no project cost overrun. The candidate shall be ok with frequent travels.

12. Plans, assigns, supervises, and reviews Structural-Design/ Architectural/ MEP-Design/ Quantity Survey for planning, designing, cost estimating.

13. Develop working method based on QMS and other given guidelines.

14. Carry out technical and feasibility studies and draw up blueprints that satisfy technical specifications.

15. Expertise in AutoCAD, familiarity with codes and structures issued by Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) relevant to civil engineering disciplines such as IS 456 for concrete, IS 800 for steel structures and IS 893 for seismic design.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Master's degree preferred.

2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering, with a proven track record of managing complex projects.

3. Strong project management skills, including experience in leading and coordinating teams.

4. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team of professionals.

5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, stakeholders, and team members at all levels.

6. Proficiency in project management software and other relevant tools.

7. In-depth knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and regulations.

8. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

9. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
