Position Title : Technology Specialist - Embedded Hardware

Reporting to : Technical Head - Product Development

Functions to be supervised directly :

Summary of work Environment and Work performed :

- The Technology Specialist is responsible for design and development of reliable and cost-effective Embedded Control Hardware for Power electronic products which satisfy the business needs of TMEIC India. The position requires excellent technical engineering knowledge coupled with proficiency in product development and quality systems with a constant eye for improvements.

Specific Duties :

- Design, simulate, prototype and release analog, digital and mixed signal circuits for power electronics products.

- Generate supporting documentation as per project requirements.

- Adhere to best practices, design standards, and processes during development.

Desired Outcome :

- Design description documents and BoM for the design

- Schematics of the design

- Placement and routing guidelines for PCB layout engineer.

Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience :

Education :

Essential : Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering or equivalent

Desired : Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Digital Electronics Knowledge

- Solid knowledge of Electronics Fundamentals, Digital Electronics, Microprocessors, Memory and Communication Interfaces like Modbus, TCP/IP, SNMP, BACnet.

- Good knowledge of designing systems for EMI/EMC compliance

- Good knowledge of sensors and actuators including design, interface, and testing.

- Good understanding of communication protocols.

Skills and abilities :

- Should have working knowledge of Electronics Simulation tools such as LTSpice, TINA, or equivalent

tools and working knowledge of schematics editor like Altium, Cadence, Orcad, or equivalent.

- Experience in preparing Technical Specifications, Design documents and Test plans.

- Experience in preparing layout guidelines and guiding layout engineers regarding placement and routing

Good and Consistent Academic Records

- Strong Analytical skills. Passion to Succeed and eager to learn new technologies

Experience :

- 5 to 9 Years of Experience in Design of Microcontroller/DSP and FPGA based embedded control hardware architecture for power electronic products.

Desired experience :

- Knowledge of Power Electronics Fundamentals, Power Switching Devices (IGBT/ MOSFET), SMPS, Magnetics.

- Experience in UPS or Solar Industry

- Good knowledge in IEC Standards. Experience in EMI/EMC and its Filter design.

- Familiar with Japanese language
