Position Title : Technology Specialist - Firmware

Reporting to : Technical Head - Product Development

Functions to be supervised directly :

Summary of work Environment and Work performed :

- The Technology Specialist is responsible for design and development of reliable and cost-effective Power electronic products which satisfy the business needs of TMEIC India. The position requires excellent technical engineering knowledge coupled with proficiency in product development and quality systems with a constant eye for improvements

Specific Duties :

- Design, simulate, prototype and release power electronics products and systems from concept.

- Generate supporting documentation as per project requirements.

- Adhere to best practices, design standards, and processes during development

Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience :

Education :

Essential :

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent

Desired :

- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Digital Electronics

Knowledge :

- Solid knowledge of Electronics Fundamentals, Digital Electronics, Microprocessors and Communication

- Interfaces like Modbus, TCP/IP, SNMP, BACnet.

- Expert in programming Microprocessors - CPLD / Assembly Language like Embedded C, ALP of 8051

- Good working knowledge of VB/VC++/Python or other Hi Level Programming languages.

- Good knowledge of sensors and actuators including design, interface, and testing.

- Good understanding of communication protocols.

Skills and abilities :

- Should have working knowledge of Electronics design/Simulation tools such as MATLAB, PSpice, Orcad, Cadence or equivalent tools.

- Experience in preparing Technical Specifications, Design documents and Test plans

- Design experience of UPS, Inverters, Converters

- Good and Consistent Academic Records

- Strong Analytical skills.

- Passion to Succeed and eager to learn new technologies

Experience :

- 5 to 9 Years of Experience in Design of Power Electronics Equipment

Desired experience :

- Knowledge of Power Electronics Fundamentals, Power Switching Devices (IGBT/ MOSFET), SMPS, Magnetics & Gate Driver Design.

- Experience in UPS or Solar Industry

- Good knowledge in IEC Standards. Experience in EMI/EMC and its Filter design.

- Familiar with Japanese language
