Position Title : Technology Specialist - Verification and Validation

Reporting to : Technical Head - Product Development

Functions to be supervised directly :

Summary of work Environment and Work performed :

- The Technology Specialist is responsible for design and development of reliable and cost-effective Power electronic products which satisfy the business needs of TMEIC India. The position requires excellent technical engineering knowledge coupled with proficiency in product development and quality systems with a constant eye for improvements

Specific Duties :

- Verify and Validate design, prototype and product of power electronics product and systems from concept to ensure that the final product confirms to the Quality standards specified.

- Design, Plan and Implement standards and process to ensure Quality and Compliance.

- Conduct periodic design reviews to assess product quality throughout development cycle.

- Develop and maintain Verification and Validation metrics and reports.

- Generate Test case Specifications and supporting documentation as per project requirements.

- Collaborate with cross functional teams including design, production, and post sales service to constantly improve product quality.

Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience :

Education

Essential : Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering or equivalent

Desired : Master's degree in Electrical Engineering

Knowledge :

- Solid knowledge of Electronics Fundamentals, Digital Electronics, Microprocessors and Communication Interfaces like Modbus, TCP/IP, SNMP, BACnet.

- Good programming knowledge of Microprocessors - CPLD / Assembly Language like Embedded C, ALP of 8051 and VB/VC++/Python or other Hi Level Programming languages.

- Excellent experience in preparation of Software and Hardware Verification and Validation Plans throughout the product development life cycle.

- Experience in code review, hardware simulation, bug and defect tracing.

- Experience with ISO, IEC, UL and other Electrical quality standards.

Skills and abilities :

- Experience in Testing and Tracking tools like RTRT, Wireshark, Mantis, Test link

- Experience in Hardware in loop simulation tools like Typhoon HILS, Opal RT

- Good working knowledge of Electronics design/Simulation tools such as MATLAB, PSpice, LTSpice

- Experience in preparing Technical Specifications, Design documents and Test plans

- Unit test, Function test and System test experience of UPS, Inverters, Converters

Experience :

- 5 to 9 Years of Experience in Design of Power Electronics Equipment

Desired experience :

- Knowledge of Power Electronics Fundamentals, Power Switching Devices (IGBT/ MOSFET), SMPS, Magnetics & Gate Driver Design.

- Good understanding of Mechanical quality parameters in Electrical Industry.

- Experience in UPS or Solar Industry

- Good knowledge in IEC Standards. Experience in EMI/EMC

- Familiar with Japanese language
