Tooling Engineer (3-5 yrs)
RESPONSIBILITY & AUTHORITY:
1. Design improvement thru DFM or DFC input from customer
2. Responsible for all new tool development, involvement spanning from product design to first article release.
3. Work closely with Tool Designer, Tool room and Process team to troubleshoot and resolve tool related problems.
4. Supporting program team by responding to technical input to tool structure design, potential issues and resolutions.
5. Tool design development for 3D & 2D. (if needed).
6. Ensure there is sufficient lead time of the tool fabrication to meet customers- schedule requirement.
7. Support measuring jig, production & functional testing fixture design (if needed).
8. Interface with supplier on customer requirement for any 2D spec out.
9. Manage the tooling Maintenance activities.
10. Perform Tooling DFM for any product that need new tooling / tooling modification.
11. Process, jig & fixture development of new and running product
12. Any other task assigned by superior
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION:
- Diploma in mechanical, manufacturing or having related field, or having 10 years- experience in Plastic Injection, metal stamping or machining industries.
EXPERIENCE:
- At least 5 years- experience in plastic injection, metal stamping or machining.
Skill & TRAINING REQUIRED :
- 3D Modeling Software such SolidWork, UG, Catia and etc.
- Moldflow Plastic Adviser (AMI, & AMA)
- Microsoft
