Transformer Design Engineer (10-30 yrs)
Job Requirements :
1. Must have extensive design, manufacturing, and testing experience in Distribution transformers up to 36 kV (or 33 kV) and power transformers at least 230 kV level. Minimum 9 years of experience in the same required
2. Extensive background in amorphous transformer manufacturing from a leading amorphous transformer company
3. Track record in developing specialty transformers like inverter transformers for solar or wind applications
4. Background in switchgear and cast resin transformers would be an advantage
5. Background in developing solutions for smart grid application would be an advantage
6. Education : Bachelor in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. MS will be an advantage
Job Description :
1. Re-designs of existing products (up to 36kV) to enhance competitiveness and efficiency
2. Recommends improvement in the manufacturing process for shorter cycle time, better quality, and product consistency
3. Supports production in sourcing new manufacturing equipment
4. Develop company's capabilities for design, manufacturer, and testing of Power Transformer, Cast resin transformer, and specialty transformers
5. Works with business development to develop export markets
6. Works with sourcing department to develop new material sources
7. Supports technical service and project team for substation and HV projects
